Yoga for Children Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface. Yoga for children should be fun, creative and engaging. I'm passionate about sharing with yoga with children in a fun way, and I'm now a Rainbow Kids Yoga graduate. Classes often have a theme, for example The Sea or The Earth or a current world festival, and many others, and include fun games that engage the imagination, story-telling or going on a yoga journey, musical instruments, dressing up, and always include a relaxation at the end. Current classes are listed here. I can bring Rainbow Kids Yoga to your school or organise a fun kids' yoga party for you, contact Donna to discuss. Or come and try a free taster session at the next Open Day! Donna is CRB-checked by West Sussex County Council.
