Seva
Seva means service. I'm thrilled to be building a JaiYoga Seva programme, raising money for charities at home and abroad and bringing free yoga to the community.
Baby steps!
During the Winter 2010 Term we ran a raffle in aid of Pakistan flood victims which now has been has been drawn and Leanne was the lucky winner. £25 was donated to Pakistan flood victims via the Disasters Emergency Committee. Your money will help buy temporary shelters, food, medical care and clean water to rebuild the livelihoods of those affected by this disaster. I'm so thrilled about our first seva activity!
Our new charityI have the honour and privilege of knowing George, the brave, tough and adorable 8 year-old son of a very dear friend of mine. George suffered renal failure after contracting meningococcal septicaemia 2 years ago and was on dialysis for a year. He is now two years on from receiving a kidney donated by his father. His dialysis care and transplant were performed at the Evelina Children's Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas's Hospital in London, a dedicated hospital for children, designed around the needs of children and their families. I am honoured to announce that our on-going charity activities will be in aid of the Evelina Children's Hospital.
We have regular raffles in aid of the Eveline Children's Hospital, and thanks to all the Mums and Babies who came along to the Charity Christmas Mum and Baby Yoga class on 18th December 2011 - £30 was raised for our charity.
